3.04.08 Lunch closures and Restaurant Week
Casona will be closed for lunch on March 4th, 5th and 6th. This is due to our "fix up."

Restaurant week in South Jersey. On March 9th through the 14th, Casona will be offering a four course restaurant week menu for thirty-five dollars. It is our regular "why wait for restaurant week menu," with dessert. Dessert choices are our signature tres leches cake or flan. Casona is closed on Mondays, including March 10, 2008.

2.26.08 Casona is getting a fix-up!
After two years and over 75,000 customers, Casona is due for some updates. Over the next week or so, we will be repairing and painting the interior of the restaurant. This includes spackling, caulking, and general maintenance. The color scheme will remain basically the same but with some stylish twists... Casona will remain open during this process, except for lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 26th and 27th. Please pardon our appearance during this process.

The management and staff of Casona thank all of our wonderful and generous customers for their continued support. We are truly blessed and look forward to years of service to you and our community!

12.23.07 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Happy holidays from Casona. Casona will be open for lunch only on Christmas Eve. We will be closed on Christmas Day. Cason is booked for a private event on New Year's Eve, but we will be open for brunch and dinner New Year's Day. We will also be introducing a special price fix brunch menu on New Year's Day.

8.14.07 Congratulations Ari!
Congratulations to Ari Weiswasser, our acting Chef, and his lovely fianceé Erinn Benziger on their upcoming wedding in Sonoma, California in September. While we are sad to see Ari leave, we deeply appreciate his hard work and dedication to Casona during this transition period. He was really there for us and showed us what a professional truly is. Ari and Erinn have a bright future as a couple and individually. We wish them all the love, happiness, and success that life has to offer.

5.31.07 Casona Has New Executive Chef
Casona is proud to announce that Ari Weiswasser has taken over as Executive Chef. Ari comes from the Four Bell Striped Bass in Philadelphia, where he was Sous Chef. We appreciate your patience while we take Casona to the next level of food and service.

3.22.07 Cuban Photography Collection on Display at Casona
Casona is currently featuring the photography collection “Images of La Habana, Cuba” by University of the Arts Alumna, Patti Kelly. Enjoy great food, warm ambiance and a glimpse of life on an island that is currently off limits to American tourism.

The images explore moments caught between a faded glory and a future that is yet to be determined. “It is this moment in history that I wanted to preserve,” notes Kelly, “so that those who can’t travel to Cuba can see the beauty and dignity of an island and people in transition.”

All artwork is available for sale. Please consult your server or the host for details.

1.13.07 Lunch Updates, Restaurant Week and Valentines' Price Fix
Our fast lunch menu is available every day (Tues thru Saturday). The full lunch menu is being phased out.

Our restaurant week promo - four courses for $30 - will be available thru March 31, 2007. Please note that no other discount or comp may be applied to any check or table that orders the restaurant week menu. If your check equals $75 in addition to the restaurant week order, the coupon may be used to discount that portion of the order.

Make your Valentines' Day reservations now. We will be offering a special price fix menu for this special day. Three amazing courses for only $45, plus a special secret treat will be given to each couple or table.

12.5.06 Change in Hours and Menu Items
The restaurant will be open for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays only through December. After that, Casona will be closed for lunch in January and February, and will reopen for lunch in late March. The coffee house now also opens at 10am every day.

We are developing a new coffee bar / lunch menu that we will be testing soon, so stay tuned!

7.1.06 July 4th Holiday Hours
In observance of Independance day, Casona will be closed on July 3rd and 4th. Also, we will be expanding our dinner menu and our final menus will be printed. Beginning July 10, 2006, Casona Coffee house will open at 8:00AM.

5.3.06 Gift Certificates Expiring Soon
Gift certificates that were issued free of charge in May 2005 will expire on May 12, 2006. The certificates in question offer $5 off checks of $25 or more or $10 off checks of $50 or more. Casona has been open for lunch, brunch and dinner for nearly two months, so if you haven't tried Casona yet, stop in before your gift certificate expires this month!

4.1.06 Now Serving Lunch and Dinner
On March 30th Casona had its lunch trial, and it went well. Thank all of you who attended - we appreciate your patience. While we will normally be open for lunch Monday thru Friday, for the month of April, we will not serve lunch on Mondays. A copy of our lunch menu is now available here.

Casona will hold a dinner trial on April 7, 2006. This is open to the public and works the same way as the other trials. We offer half off the food portion of your bill and in return we ask you for your patience. We will fix any problems if there are any. After April 7, dinner will be served Tuesdays thru Sundays.

Easter Sunday we will be open for brunch only. As usual, the coffee bar will be open at 7:30 AM.

Our site is constantly being updated, so please pardon our dust and minor typos while we make changes and post the latest information. Menu items and prices are always subject to change.

3.22.06 Now Serving Brunch
Our Brunch trial went well on Sunday March 19th. We thank those who attended for their patience and support. We are now serving brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM until 3PM. A copy of our brunch menu is available.

We are still working on our dinner and lunch menus. Lunch should be available the week of March 27th and dinner the week of April 3rd.

We are hiring experienced servers, baristas, food runners and expediters, cooks and hosts.


3.15.06 The Coffee House Is Open!
The coffee house has opened! Black Bean Cafe @ Casona will operate independent of the restaurant.. It's open seven days a week from 7:30 AM until the restaurant closes. This week, March 12th thru 19th, it will close at 2:30 PM. It features full coffee and espresso services, exotic teas, award winning tropical fruit smooties and scrumptious pastries.

There will be a trial brunch on Sunday, March 19th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You and your party will recieve 50 percent off the food portion of your bill. In return, you agree to be patient if things are not perfect, and fill out a questionnaire at the end of your meal. We will fix any problems, if any with the food and/or service. Lunch will begin March 20th , Monday thru Friday 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

2.27.06 Casona Grand Opening April 8th
AIn order to ensure the highest quality service and cuisine, Casona will open soft. We begin previews on March 11, 2006. Begining March 13th, our coffee house will be open 7 days a week at 7:30 AM. We plan also to beign serving lunch on the 13th. Dinner, Tuesday thru Sunday, and brunch, Saturday and Sunday, will begin on or about March 21st. Our official grand opening is on April 8, 2006. Once our computer system is installed on March 10, we will begin to accept reservations. Thank you for your continued support and patience - we look forward to serving you here at Casona!

12.5.05 Casona Opening Soon - Make your reservations now!
We greatly appreciate the excitement and continued interest in Casona's grand opening. We are still completing renovations, and our opening date has been set.

We are currently taking reservations for private parties and events to be held after our opening date. Dates are filling up fast, so schedule your event with us today!
